Geraldine gasped as she felt the woman's knee connect. Now she had two injuries to contend with as well as the woman. And the woman had not been hit once, to her knowledge. This seemed to be a vastly one sided fight. Geraldine began to panic a little.
She wouldn't let her win... couldn't let her win.
Geralding felt the bed groan. It was about to give out. It was old and creaky and dilapidated same as the rest of the room. She struggled as best she could, beating and smacking as best she could. There was a way out of this... if she could only surprise her... The latino woman was stronger than Geraldine, but Geraldine WAS faster. If she could surprise her, push her off... she may make it to outside. The woman would follow likely. She seemed too prideful not to.
She would come after Ger...and Geraldine knew this town much better. She would get the jump on her then.
'Run to fight another day,' she reminded herself. She struggled more, kicking and thrashing with everything she believed in.
Suddenly there was a loud "BANG!" and a jolt as the bed broke, sending more dust into the air. Geraldine pulled her short legs under Cynthia and kicked up to dislodge her and, although not far, did knock her off balance enough to roll off the now grounded bed. Grabbing the lamp, she aimed it at Cynthia as hard as she could, hoping to bring blood to the bitch.
As she finally got ready to throw, her eye widened... Cynthia, for a moment, had changed form in Geraldine's eyes. The Diviner knew she was getting some sort of message from the gods... The woman looked like a monster.
"...Wh...what are you?" As quickly as it had come it left again and she screamed as she threw the lamp at the woman. Monster or not... Geraldine had not protected her virginity for a quarter of a century for this woman's entertainment. She was not as weak as this woman was making her seem. She was a leader in the Order, goddamnit...
Geraldine had never been so insulted... mortified... as she had been when this woman talked about Cain. But even so... She had to admit that the woman had an advantage over her in strength. For some strange reason luck had not been on her side today.
She wouldn't let her win... couldn't let her win.
