She can get a bit jumpy at night and when in a new place, but as long as she has a weapon, flashlight, or companion, she's much better then without. Laure seemingly gets quite attached to people rather fast, but it actually takes her quite a bit of time for her to warm up to new companions. What Really Happened
"In my restless dreams I see that town, silent hill"
History: Laure was born to Anne and Jaques Nivoe in Chèze, France, and lived there until she was 11. She had a relatively normal childhood, the only oddity was her fascination with ghost stories and horror. At 11, when her mother died, she was shipped off to her aunt's house in the United States, so she could have a break from the city where her mom had died. She remained there, in a town relatively close to Silent Hill with her aunt until she was 18, when she found out the real reason of her move. Her father, unable to control his wife's eccentric personality (She had cheated on him repeatedly with different men.), shot her, and was caught, and consequently sent to prison. Laure realized she had been lied to 7 years by her entire family, and in an act of rebellion and defiance, she ran away and moved into Silent Hill. She didn't actually spend any time there, she only bought the house and sent the news to her father and aunt to try and upset them. Laure only returned to her house a month or so ago, and has since remained, trying to survive the horros of Silent Hill.
Family: Laure was the 5th child of Jaques and Anne Nivoe, and her mother passed away 3 years ago. Her siblings are spread all over the globe, and her father is still in France.

Sample Post:
The sound of quick foot falls echoed against the writhing surfaces as a brunette fled past, her loosely curled hair streaming out behind her as she moved. Laure could feel tendrils reaching out for her, but with any movement she caught, she dodged the opposite way and kept running, her heart pounding deafeningly in her ears. She was never more thankful for all the physical endurance training her father had put her in when she was 9 and continued up to the present, it was one of the few things she could remember of him without the feeling of disgust rising in her throat. She skidded to a stop as a high pitched scream broke her concentration, and her bright blue eyes widened at the creature that was lumbering towards her from the end of the hallway, and more importantly, where she had hoped to find an exit. It looked like a duo of people who were stitched together, and moved in erratic, jerking motions. It's skin was blistering red and as it moved, it continued to emit high pitched noises that seemed to be some form of communication, for behind the closed doors that Laure had moved past only moments ago, noises of movement and the same screams could be heard. The brunette only had a short crowbar and a knife that was barely longer then that, and by the looks of the acid that was leaking from an orifice of sorts, it would be far too dangerous try and attack it close, and she had no projectile or far combat weapons.
She stumbled as she turned, and nearly colliding against a wall which reached out expectant tendrils to grab and constrict around her. She had seen it happen with one of those rotting dogs; the wall had claimed the body of some creature and the dog foolishly tried to take the large morsel. Laure grunted with the effort but forced herself away from the wall and back down the hallway, her sharp intakes of air alerting her of the rotting smell of flesh. She grimaced and continued, winding down the long hallway while dodging discarded pieces of furniture that were impossible to distinguish beneath the layers of rust and writhing mass of what looked to be decomposing matter. The girl could hear the creature struggling vainly to keep up, but because it's "prey" had chosen one of the more cluttered hallways to escape down, all it could do was attempt to move pass the furniture and spit out some form of acid as it screeched it displeasure. Laure wasted no time in checking over her shoulder, for at the end of the new hallway was a window, and by the position of the building across the street, she could only hope that it was on the first story. Muttering French curse words under her breath, she turned to her side and rammed her shoulder against the dirt streaked pane, only to stumble back with an out cry of pain and surprise. "Oh baise!" She shouted but then cupped a hand over her mouth, her eyes wide and frightened. She hadn't noticed a door right beside her, and by the sounds of it, her voice had disturbed whatever was in it. With a creak, the door to her left slowly opened...
