It was just another day at work, she had told herself as she walked down the lightly dusted streets. Fog swirled maliciously around her, grabbing at her clothes and hair in an attempt to prevent her journey. Lisa's car hadn't started this morning. The engine hadn't even made a sign of reconition when she'd turned the key in the ignition and the only thing that had followed her down the empty town had been silence. Silence so thick that she knew something was wrong, silence so deep that to even whisper would pierce the cold air, silence that killed.
Crimson heels clicked up the stairs to the new hospital. She'd been assigned a new task today from Kaufmann. No more Brookhaven for her. Lisa took a deep breath as she walked up the stairs. She'd considered skipping the shift and staying at home and, for the most part, it seemed like even the town's weather and inhabitants had agreed with her on that one. But Lisa knew that she had to come, she had to help people, just had to. A little bad weather would never stop her from doing her job.
"Huh?" she stopped in her tracks and gazed at something she'd never noticed before.
A picture had been dropped at the corner of the hospital's opening. Lisa bent down to pick it up, her fingers stopped before she even touched the white frame. It was a girl. She had obsidian hair that framed a pale face with dark eyes. The young girl was half smiling at the lens, fingers crossed over her blue and white dress. Lisa's heart skipped a beat. She knew the girl... but from where? Slender fingers brushed the photograph and picked it up and for a moment Lisa stood staring at it, work had been forgotten.

It was quiet in Silent Hill. There were no resident of in town out in the streets and the sun was blocked out by some of the thickest fog Sam had ever seen. The only sound that could be heard were Samantha’s footsteps as she walked looking for the police station to tell her about her lost criminal. What’s with all this damn fog. The F.B.I. agent thought to herself as she continued to walk. Sam started thinking about the dog that attacked her earlier. It looked like all it’s skin was gone and was bleeding everywhere. Sam thought to herself being careful not to run into anymore stray dogs. Samantha had been walking for nearly an hour looking for the police station, but still hadn’t found it. “I guess I’ve been gone for too long.” Sammy said as she walked past a few more buildings. “I used to know this place like the back of my hand.” Sam said as she looked down at the back of her hands and examined the mark of Samael that was tattooed on the back of her hands. “But then again, that was nearly ten years ago.” The dark haired woman said and let out a small chuckle.
After a few more minutes of walking, Samantha saw a blinking light up ahead. Samantha quickened her pace and saw that it was a billboard that had a map of the town on it. “Thank god.” Samantha said and let out a sigh. “Okay, I’m here and I wanna get here.” Sam said as she slowly traced her finger towards the police station. As she traced a line towards the police station, Samantha noticed a picture pinned on Alchemilla Hospital.
Sam picked up the picture and noticed that it was one of her and her sixteen year old sister sister Lily when Lily came to live with her last summer. Sam looked at the back of the picture. “Help!!!” Sam said in a confused tone as she read the back, it looked like it was written in a hurry. All of a sudden Sam tore off the map of Silent Hill and bolted off towards Alchemilla Hospital. After a few minutes of walking Sam could start to see the local hospital. “LILY” Sam shouted as she got closer. Pretty soon she could see another woman in a red nurses outfit. Maybe she’s seen Lily. Sam thought as she walked up to the nurse. “Excuse me miss…Have you seen this girl around here?” Sam asked in a worried tone as she held up the picture of her and Lily.

Photograph still in hand, Lisa stared intently at the picture. Memories welled up inside of her, where they even memories? Or were they just daydreams? Lisa watched from someone else's eyes as a young girl traced her pale fingers on a wooden door, the place looked familiar, like some part of the hospital. Lisa suddenly felt sick, as though she had forgotten something very important down there. Anxious now, she searched on her person for that missing something. Thoughts raced in her mind.
She's barely conscious... no pulse... how is this girl still breathing? I, I can't take to watch her suffer! Alessa...
Like awaking from a daydream, Lisa snapped out her reverie. There was someone around her though she couldn't make it out in the fog until the woman's voice had already filled the air around her. It was like a reality slap and suddenly Lisa was no longer in the dark room with the girl from the photograph. She felt a shiver creeping up her back and tucked the photograph into the pocket of her jacket. Lisa found herself staring at someone who was nearly the same heigh as she.
"Oh! You scared me," she put her hand to her chest for a second and then continued, "are you alright?" Lisa asked, curious as to what could have made the woman so out of breath. Had she been running?
Lisa's eyes caught on the photograph and she skimmed over it briefly. The girl was unfamiliar to her but Lisa saw too many people during the day to actually remember everyone's face. It was kind of a cruel thought but an honest one. Somehow though, she didn't think that she could help the woman as much as the woman wished. Lisa waited for her answer while examining the face.

Samantha stood in front of the girl breathing heavily holding the picture in front of her and praying that she had seen Lily around here. As Sam examined the nurse, she noticed that the two were about the same height, and that this nurse was a whole lot younger than her. Funny, usually the nurses around here look like old hags. Samantha thought to herself as she let out a small crooked smile. As soon as she had asked the nurse, she noticed that it looked like she had snapped her out a daydream. Normally, Sam would’ve apologized, but finding her sister was more important than manners. Please say she’s seen her. Samantha thought to herself, with worried thoughts starting to fill her head. The nurse had said that she had scared her. “I’m sorry.” Samantha said still trying to catch her breath. The nurse then went on to ask if she was okay. “I’m fine, I just need to catch my breath.” Samantha said trying to sound as nice as she could.
After a few more seconds of waiting, Samantha decided to ask again. “Have you seen this girl around here?” Sam asked still worried about her sister. “Her name is Lily Snyder.” After Sam said her half-sister’s last name, she had a feeling that the nurse would’ve at least of heard of her, after all Sam’s mother Lucinda step-father Damian was a pretty well-known resident of Silent Hill. “I think she might have been around here or is in the hospital.” Sam said still holding up the picture of her and Lily. Samantha then took a quick glance at the hospital and a small tingle went up the woman’s spine. Samantha had always hated Alchemilla Hospital ever since she was a little girl, when she had to go see her dad in the hospital and got lost. Samantha then snapped out of her little memory and stared into the young nurse’s eyes waiting for her answer.

Despite her new acquaintances reassurance, Lisa felt that there was something more than a girl just trying to hunt down a foreign relative. She took a good look at the picture, trying to remember faces and people but the only eyes that stared back at her memories were that of the girls; Alessa. Lisa knew that to tell this woman no would be like draining all her hopes away; she didn't want to have to disapoint her, not without trying to all that she could. Lisa felt her face tighten as she considered her options.
"Oh no, it's alright, if you want I can flip through the patient records at the front desk," she began, "I mean it's not much but if she's been through the hospital system I can find her."
Lily Snyder. Lily, Lily, the name had no familiarity to it what so ever which made Lisa's heart sink a little under the pressure of trying to help another. The woman in front of her was more authoritative than Lisa had first given her credit for. She had chestnut brown hair tied into a pony tail and sparkling blue eyes that seemed to be dulled by the foggy day around them. There was something about this fog that Lisa found unsettling.
"Your sister?" she asked and then added, "not to ply. It's just, well, I haven't seen anyone by that name or appearance though everyone in silent hill who's registered has some sort of file. If you are a relative I can give you the name and address so you can find her."
Lisa shifted onto her right heel unknowingly. She could feel the tug of the girl Alessa's photo in her pocket as though it were a weight or a burden that she had to carry. If she ended up in the archives, she would check for Alessa too. There was something important about that photo, something that she'd long forgotten.

Sam waited for a few more seconds, hoping that the nurse had seen her little sister. As Samantha stared at the nurse, she noticed that the she gave off a very friendly kind of feeling and being around her made Samantha feel a little less worried about her sister. Once Sam had heard the nurse say that she could flip through some records at the front desk. Sam had understood that the nurse hadn’t seen her little sister; but that she could take her too look at some records to see if she was admitted to the hospital. The nurse then went on to say that it wasn’t much, but Sam knew that she was more than helpful.
“Thank you very much.” Sam said in a sincere tone, glad that she had finally come closer to finding her sister. Sammy then heard the nurse repeat that Lily was her sister, and then say that she hasn’t seen anyone by that name or appearance but that she could find her name and address and give it to her since she was family. “That’s okay I don’t need an address, I was just at m- I mean their house and she wasn’t there.” Sam said politely and noticed that the nurse had turned and was walking towards the hospital.
Sam quickly caught up to her and the two were now walking up the stairs towards the entrance. As the walked, Sam got the same feeling earlier when the blood hound was following her. Sam quickly looked around making sure that nothing was following them. Sam then put her hand on her handgun, just in case something decided to pop out. As the two got closer to the entrance, Sam had realized that she had never introduced herself to the nurse. “My name’s Samantha by the way. Samantha Covenant.” Sammy said as the two reached the main doors. Sam quickly opened the doors and walked through. Sam let out a small frown as she started to examine the hospital. Even the hospital seems dark. It’s like this town went to hell since I’ve been gone. Sam thought to herself as she took quick glances around the empty lobby.

"Samantha, hmm, I used to have a friend in college who went by that name," Lisa smiled and followed after her new acquaintance, "are you sure you don't want me to check the records? If she's in town she'll be here."
Lisa was suddenly alert as to how dark the hospital seemed around her. It wasn't the usual tone, in fact most of the lights in the distance had been shut off as though someone were either trying to save power or nobody had come to open the place up. She stood there for a moment soaking up the ambiance and then reached into her pocket for the key to the office.
The young nurse quickly grabbed the bronzed key, fingers turning it within the office lock. There was a click and then the door was open. Quickly, she stepped inside and flicked the light switch to the halls on. Nothing happened. The darkness of the halls seemed to be permanent.
"Huh?" this splinter in her plan seemed to have frozen her ability to think and Lisa frowned, flicking the switch back and forth a few times. This wasn't right, something wasn't right, something was definitely not right.
A little disturbed now, Lisa poked her head back into the lobby where Samantha was still wandering around. She didn't want to be alone, not when the lights were out. Lisa might have been afraid of being ridiculed if she hadn't been so fond of people and company. There was nothing worse than being alone. Nothing.
"The lights are... out," she started, arms crossed to cover her from the sudden cold, "something's going on here. I, well, you are the first person that i've seen today. I don't think anyone's here..."

Samantha continued to look around the seemingly abandoned hospital. Where are all the patients? Sam wondered to herself, thinking about how packed this place used to be when she was a kid. Sam watched as the nurse took out a key and walked towards a door that was labeled Office. After the nurse walked into the office Sammy noticed that the lights weren’t turning on.
What the hell is wrong with this place? Sam wondered to herself as she stood in the middle of the hallway. Just then, Samantha felt coldness come over her. It was as if all the warmth in her body had left, leaving nothing behind but cold. Sam continued to stand in the lobby with her arms crossed trying to create some kind of heat. The nurse in red then walked back to Sam and informed her that the lights aren’t working. The nurse then went on to say that something is going on here and that Sam was the first person she’s seen all day. As the nurse was talking, Sam took a closer look at her name tag and noticed that it said Lisa.
“You’re right Lisa, something isn’t right here. Between all this fog, nobody around, and those damn dog things that attacked me earlier something is definitely going down in Silent Hill, and I think we need to find out what it is.” Samantha said in a commanding tone that she usually used since she was in the F.B.I.
As soon as she was finished, Sam heard footsteps coming from down the hall. “Lisa did you hear that?” Sam asked as she looked down the unlit hallway to see the form of someone walking away from them. “I think we better check it out. They might know what the hell is going on around here.” Sam said as she looked at the figure as they walked through another door.
“It looks like were gonna need these.” Sam said as she took off the flashlight attachment on her magnum and tossed it to Lisa. Sam then pulled out her handgun, turned on the flashlight, and slowly started walking towards the dark hallway. Samantha looked back and noticed that Lisa looked a little hesitant. “Come on Lisa.” Sammy said politely as she let out a reassuring smile.

When Samantha said her name she realized she'd forgotten to introduce herself in her haste to help the women. Fear was creeping up her insides now but she quickly brushed it down. There was no sense in worrying about everything. Maybe they'd missed a message somewhere along the way. Lisa watched as Samantha rationed out what they should do. The young woman seemed to be used to giving orders and having a plan. For that Lisa was thankful.
"Thanks," she said when her companion handed her the flashlight, "Sorry! I forgot to introduce myself, my mind's been a little out to lunch lately. It doesn't matter much now but i'm Lisa Garland, i'm a nurse here."
Lisa clicked on the flashlight, hearing the soft thump of footsteps down the hallway as Samantha had pointed out. It felt like things were going south very fast, very very fast. She didn't know why she was so afraid of a dark hospital and the soft thrum of footsteps down the hall. It was probably someone trying to repair the lights...
"If it makes any difference we've got a switch for emergency lights down stairs in the basement, we just need to turn the generator on, though I don't think going to the basement is a good idea..." Lisa sighed.
Samantha had already turned down the hallway, gun at the ready. If Lisa hadn't taken a liking to the woman she might have questioned why she was carrying a firearm in the first place but she trusted this newly found woman already, for some strange reason. Lisa walked slowly behind Samantha, pointing her light in front of them as her heels clicked lightly on the hospitals black and white floor.

((If I'm not welcome, just let me know. I'll start another thread but I thought this may be where Lisa was talking about))
Cecilia walked forward, her brown eyes foggy and distant as the air around her. Looking up at the hospital, she remembered a time long ago that she'd been there.
A time of joy... A time of pain... of anxiousness and hope... of pride and happiness... A time when there was a tiny one within her... and then again in her arms...
A time long past, she acknowleged. Jeremy would be celebrating his eighth birthday soon if he were still alive. Cecilia's eyes, wrapped in swirling mist took in the Hospital before she blinked. She thought she'd seen something through the window on the door. Was someone inside?
There was definately some movement... Perhaps it was someone who could help her find out what she needed to know.
Cecilia slowly stepped up the stairs and pushed on the Hospital door. Looking inside she called, "Hello? I'm sorry if this isn't visiting hours... but I'm afraid I..."
She looked around, barely able to see in front of her face. The lights were out. Did that mean the hospital had been shut down? Her eyes widened in a moment of panic. No...NO! If they had, they may have moved Jeremy's file! She could spend decades looking! That was not acceptable!
She began letting out short, raspy breaths. Calm down... Calm down...
"Is anyone here? I'm afraid I can't see my nose on the front of my face..."

Sam let out a small smile when she heard Lisa formally introduce herself. “Well it’s nice to officially meet you Lisa.” Sam said as she let out a small laugh. It feels dark around here, and it’s like someone’s watching our every move. Sam thought to herself as she continued to hold her handgun up lighting the way for her and Lisa. Once they reached the dark hallway, it suddenly became even quieter. The only sound that could be heard was the clacking coming from Lisa’s heels, and the faint breathing coming from both of them.
As the two continued to walk, Sammy heard Lisa say that there was an emergency generator in the basement. “Then that’s where we need to go.” Sam said once again in her commanding tone of voice. Sam then heard Lisa say that it probably wasn’t a good idea to go down into the basement. “Why isn’t it a good idea to go down there Lisa?” Sam asked in a curious tone as the two walked through the door that the unknown person walked through just a few minutes ago. As they walked through, Sam nearly slipped on something wet beneath them. Samantha pointed her gun down and noticed the crimson red liquid. “Blood!?” Sam said in a surprised tone. “We better hurry the person we saw earlier could be in trouble.” Sam said in a worried tone as she quickened her pace.
After a few more minutes of walking, Sam heard the faint voice of somebody else in the dark hospital. “Lisa did you hear that? It sounded like it came from the lobby.” Sam said in her usual tone of voice. Sam walked back towards the door that led the lobby, opened it and waved her flashlight around signaling that if there was a person there to follow the light.

Lisa followed Samantha down the darkened hallway feeling a lot like Dorothy lost in a world she had no idea what was happening in. Crimson heels clicked against the tiled floor and with each click Lisa found herself wishing she'd worn softer shoes. Each snap of her heel seemed to echo far down the hallway and against the walls. Anything that was down there would certainly know what was going on. She shivered against the sudden cold.
"We keep all of the... lost patients in the basement," she started feeling her breath cold as ice, "I mean, it's not like there's anything down there but, I, its-"
The sound of a voice in the lobby area made Lisa stop short. Crimson streaked the black and white tiles of the floor beneath Samantha's fingertips and Lisa found herself suddenly sick to her stomach. She was a nurse, she dealt with blood more often than not but the way that the deep red had crusted over the innocent floors of the hospital was a contrast enough to make anyone sick. Before she could object Samantha was off, taking her own light with her and going back into the lobby.
"Wait, I," Samantha disappeared around the corner and Lisa was left in the single corridor. Her heart pounded against her chest like a frightened bird trapped within a cage and Lisa tried to calm herself down.
It's just the hospital. The lobby is about a minute away from here. Samantha will be back. You are paranoid... paranoid... from the darkness something seemed to move along the shadows. Was that a person? Where they alright? Lisa abandoned her fear as she heard the soft lament of crying along the edge of the corridor to her right. Her heels seemed quieter as she made her way slowly into the darkness.

Cecilia could hear voices and faint movement in the darkness and stepped forward.
"...Hello? Is someone there?"
Her soft, warm voice was shivering a little. She was a little nervous that she wasn't supposed to be here. She blinked and stared into the darkness ahead of her.
...If it wasn't so dark... she thought she could see someone. A faint outline maybe? It was hard to determine. She reached a hand out and felt...
She quickly pulled her hand back. "I...I'm sorry... I didn't know anyone was so close... Y... you're just a child... aren't you?" She looked down in front of her, still able to see nothing but darkness. She'd felt the top of the person's head, but it was lower than her own. It was strange...she coudln't even hear a breath...
But she was sure that was what she felt... a soft head of hair... maybe long...
Suddenly a bright light shown in her eyes and she squinted, putting her hand up.
"Hello... I'm sorry for intruding but I'm afraid it's a slight emergency..." She explained before who ever it was could throw her out. "I gave birth to a son here... I need information..."
Her eyes adjusting to the light she looked around and wondered where the child had went that she'd felt before... then remembered the cries she'd heard before and shivered. Because come to think of it she had no idea what it was she touched.

Sam continued to walk towards the person who she had heard a few minutes ago. As she got closer, she could hear the woman talking to someone. Is someone else in here? Sam thought to herself remembering that no one was here earlier when Sam and Lisa walked through here. Soon, Samantha was just a few feet away from the woman. Sam heard the woman apologize for intruding, that it was an emergency, and that she gave birth to her son here and she needed some information.
“It’s okay there’s no need to apologize, I don’t think there’s anyone on staff here today except for one nurse.” Sam said in a polite tone as she let out a small smile. “Well I’m looking for some files too, so I think you better come with me. There’s a nurse down the hall who could show us the archives.” Sam said in her usual tone. “So let’s go.” Sam said, turned around and slowly started walking towards the hall where she left Lisa. Sam held her gun up high allowing her flashlight attachment to illuminate the entire hallway. “Oh my name’s Samantha by the way. Samantha Covenant.” Samantha said in a polite tone as she continued to walk down the hall beside the other woman.
Sam walked through the door she walked through just a few minutes ago and noticed that Lisa was gone. “Lisa!?” Sam said in a worried tone looking around for Lisa. “Shit! Where could she have gone?” Sam said still sounding worried. Sam then looked down and saw that Lisa had stepped through the pool of blood and had left bloody footprints. “C’mon we need to find Lisa.” Sam said going back to her commanding tone as she started to walk in the direction of the bloody footprints.

Somewhere along the way Lisa had lost her common sense. There seemed to be a driving force that was pulling her along the darkened hallway. Someone was crying, they needed her, she couldn't let them be alone. Nobody should be alone. Not ever. Her heart pounded in her chest and Lisa turned the corner. She shined her flashlight in the direction of the tears and found a slender woman crouched in the shadows. Lisa was certain she was the one crying.
"Hello?" she asked so as not to startle the woman, "Are you alright?"
Lisa moved closer, her heels clicking on the floor as she did so. A small strand of light blonde hair pushed across her face and she brushed slender fingers to tuck it back behind her hair. The woman stood huddled in the corner, not facing her. Lisa shone the light at the woman's head and found the familiar logos that she was now wearing, only they were in white with red dotting the back.
A nurse?
"It's alright, I'm-" she reached her hand out to touch the woman comfortingly and her fingertips met cold flesh, covered in bloody bandages.
Lisa felt her heart sink and her voice caught in her throat. The nurse figure turned around, it's monstrous face was covered in thick bloody bandages, covered from the world so that she was just a faceless body. Lisa found herself unable to scream as the woman inched towards her, twisted legs inched towards her, a large butcher knife held in one hand. Lisa backed up, unable to break eye contact with the creature.
Her back hit a corner, the door to the wing of the hospital. Lisa tried frantically to open it as the monster closed in on her. It couldn't end like this! Lisa felt her body shaking. The door was locked. She tried frantically to reach on her person for it her flashlight fell out of her grips and she was plunged into darkness.
